When you think of Après-ski in Colorado, you're probably picturing your boots unbuckled and enjoying a drink at the base of the lift. If you’re staying in Denver, though, you're spending your evening driving back from the mountains instead of relaxing. By the time you're back in the city, your legs are spent, but you might not be quite ready to call it a day.
How can you make the most of your Denver trip without wearing yourself out?
Make an easy post-ski plan that's equal parts relaxation and fun.
Enjoy your après-ski in Denver in a private suite at Oakwell Beer Spa, complete with a warm herbal bath, an infrared sauna, a rain shower, and a Colorado beer in your hand. Enjoy Oakwell with one friend or schedule a group session for up to six people with the Garage Party. Here's how it works.

Oakwell's downtown Denver location in Five Points is a little closer to these major skiing destinations. It's about 10 minutes closer to most ski areas, and about 18 minutes closer to Eldora. Park in the lot at 31st Avenue and Marion Street, or on Downing Street or 30th Avenue, where street parking is unmetered.
Oakwell Beer Spa's Highlands Ranch location is still a good time, but it's a better fit if you're staying on the southern side of Denver in the suburbs. There's free parking right outside, and our taproom opens onto a gorgeous patio.
Regardless of the location you choose, plan for traffic. CDOT’s guidance on avoiding I-70 ski traffic names the busiest eastbound time as “Sunday evenings between 3-6 p.m.” and says traffic “starts to build as early as 11:30 a.m.”, so leave room to spare when you book at Oakwell. Our suites do fill up quickly, so reserve your spot online before you head to the mountain.
If you arrive late, your suite time may be shortened so the next guests can start on time, and you'll still be charged in full. If we don’t hear from you within 10 minutes of your start time, the booking counts as a no-show.
You can cancel or reschedule a suite free of charge with 24 hours’ notice, or a Garage Party with 48 hours ' notice; later cancellations and no-shows are charged in full, plus 20% gratuity.
At Oakwell Beer Spa, the private suite is yours alone for 90 minutes. Inside your suite are a warm herbal bath steeped with hops, barley, and herbs, an infrared sauna, a rain shower, and a relaxation deck,. You can switch between amenities in any order you like during that time.

If you dreamed of enjoying Colorado craft beer on the slopes, you can enjoy the same great flavors without the crowds. At Oakwell, you swing by the taproom first and can bring your drink into the suite with you.
At check-in, guests 21 and up get an RFID card for the self-pour taproom, where you pour Colorado beer, wine, cider, or kombucha yourself and pay by the ounce. Carry it into the suite in the insulated tumbler we provide, and ring the room service bell when you want a refill. Our advice for a drink in the heat is to sip slowly, keep water between pours and st,ep out if you feel dizzy or lightheaded.
If you get hungry, we do offer light gourmet snacks, including charcuterie boards and artisanal chocolate bonbons. Outside food isn't allowed, so plan lunch or dinner before or after your visit.

For a ski group of up to six, book the Garage Party: with this setup, guests share two connected private suites for 90 minutes at either Oakwell location. Depending on availability, you can also add zero-gravity massages for the group, either during booking or on a first-come, first-served basis after you arrive.

Many groups start in the taproom, settle into their suites, then keep the evening going together afterward. The Garage Party is built for birthdays, bachelorette weekends, and friends’ days, and a ski day fits right in. If anyone in the group is under 21, drinks stay in the taproom for everyone; guests must be 14 or older, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian with them.
For more than six, ask for a private party. Our event planner can add suites, depending on availability, or rent you the entire spa for up to three hours; send your date and headcount through our group spa packages page.
The herbal bath stays close to body temperature and never goes above 100°F, so it feels soothing rather than hot. The infrared sauna stays below 160°F and warms you directly, so you sweat at a lower air temperature than in a traditional sauna.
Yes. Robes, slippers and towels are waiting in your suite, so bring a swimsuit if you like and leave the ski gear in the car. Check in 30 minutes before your suite time to fill out the intake form and pour your first drink.
Yes, the Zero Gravity Massage. You lie back fully clothed with your legs raised above your heart while rollers and air compression work from your neck to your feet, with no therapist, for 15 or 30 minutes. It’s first come, first served, so you can decide on the night.
They’ll have plenty to choose from: NA beer, kombucha, CBD sparkling water, botanical spritzes and juice. The bath has no alcohol in it either.
Yes. The taproom works as an après-ski bar in Denver with no spa booking needed, and its wall pours from several Colorado breweries at once. Seats are first come, first served, and spa guests get priority when it’s full.
Plan on the whole evening. The bath starts to drain 70 minutes in, which leaves 20 minutes to shower and dress before your suite time ends. Most guests stay two and a half to three hours in all, and the taproom has no time limit.
