A Different Kind of Spa in Downtown Denver

Oakwell Beer Spa Downtown Denver sits at 30th Avenue and Downing Street in Five Points, under a mile from the galleries and breweries of RiNo. It opened in 2021 as Denver’s first beer spa and still works the same way: one private suite per booking, a taproom out front, and no tub shared with strangers.

Every visit centers on a 90-minute private spa suite for two. Start in the infrared sauna, cool off under the rain shower, then settle into a hydrotherapy tub prepared the way you like it: the Beer Bath with hops, barley and herbs, or the new wine bath, a grape-botanical soak with rose petals and tulsi. Neither has alcohol in the water. Tell us your pick at check-in.

Add a Zero Gravity Massage before or after your suite: a full-body chair massage, fully clothed, with no therapist and no small talk. Couples book it as a date, friends as a catch-up, and plenty of guests come alone on a weekday afternoon.

Relax Differently in RiNo and Five Points

This part of Denver gives you plenty to do and very few places to sit still. Oakwell Beer Spa is one of them, and it fits around the rest of your day.

Coors Field is a mile and a half away and Mission Ballroom is about the same, so a 90-minute soak fits before first pitch or the opening act. Denver Central Market and the Larimer Street breweries are under a mile from our door. Staying at a Downtown hotel? Union Station and the Convention Center are both about two miles out.

Flying in or out? The A Line train from Denver International Airport stops at 38th & Blake, less than a mile from us, which makes the spa an easy first stop before hotel check-in or a last one before the ride back.

Not Your Usual Downtown Denver Day Spa

Many Downtown Denver spas sit inside hotels, with treatment menus and hushed hallways. Oakwell Beer Spa is a day spa with a taproom attached: you book a private suite, choose your bath, pour your own drink and set the pace yourself.
  • A Private Suite, Not a Treatment RoomYour 90 minutes include an infrared sauna, a rain shower and a hydrotherapy tub with your choice of beer or wine bath. Nobody sells you a serum, and the only schedule is the one on your booking. Bring a swimsuit if you like; robes and slippers are waiting in the suite. Ring the bell for another drink, or step out to the taproom in your robe.
  • A Downtown Day Spa With a Self-Pour TaproomCheck in, pick up a tap card and pour by the ounce from a rotating wall of Colorado beer, wine, cider and kombucha, with zero-proof options too. Each month a different Colorado brewery takes over five of the taps. The taproom is open to everyone, so friends can join you for a drink even if they skip the spa.
  • Something to Do in RiNo That Isn’t Another BarDate night before dinner on Larimer Street, a birthday, a bachelorette weekend, a solo reset between meetings. The Garage Party joins two suites through a connecting door for up to four guests, and larger groups can plan a private event with our team.

Arrive Early, Pour First

Check in 30 minutes before your suite time, pick up a tap card and pour a drink. We’ll come and get you in the taproom when your suite is ready.

Beer Bath or Wine Bath

Sauna first, rain shower second, then the tub: hops, barley and herbs, or the grape-botanical wine bath. Your drink is welcome in the suite.

Everyone Is Welcome

Couples, friends, solo guests, people who have never set foot in a spa. Every body and every gender is welcome, and the suite is private, so there is nothing to feel awkward about. Not a beer drinker? The wall also pours wine, cider, kombucha and zero-proof options.

Priced Per Suite

Packages are priced per suite, not per person, with no resort fees or surprise charges. Drinks, add-ons and gratuity are up to you.

How a Visit to Oakwell Beer Spa Works

Ninety minutes in your suite, as long as you like in the taproom.

My 21-year-old son and I did this on a recent trip to Denver. We thought it was super relaxing and just a fun, unique thing to do. We enjoyed trying different wine, ciders, and beers from the wall of beers and the prices for pours is super reasonable. We had a great time and would recommend it highly for those who need a relaxing outlet or just want to drink, soak, and visit.

We had an amazing time at the spa -- Meghan and Megan were both professional, kind, and calming themselves before we got into our little suite with the sauna, rain shower, and hot tub. The vibes were immaculate from entry and only got better with thorough service from the staff! Everything was literally perfect except I did the massage chair on a whim and cried the whole time because it was legitimately terrifying and painful -- let me be clear, I am the ONLY person in these reviews who has ever hated the massage chair. I'm autistic and I should have known that it would likely be a sensory nightmare for me or asked about an emergency stop, so that was on me, and many many many other people have looooooved the massage chairs, so only keep my review in mind if you're super sensitive like me! Oakwell Beer Spa was incredible and set us up for a lovely anniversary. Super impressed with their staff and facilities and would love to go back one day!

Oakwell Beer Spa was an absolutely amazing experience from the moment they opened the front door for us! Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, and we never once felt rushed. The private Beer Therapy Room was perfect—from the infrared sauna and rainfall shower to the beer bath and custom shampoo and conditioner. Their drink menu includes both cocktails and nonalcoholic options, and I highly recommend the prickly pear electrolyte drink! The chef’s kiss was adding the 20-minute Zero Gravity Massage. I was completely relaxed and had the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a very long time. I went with a friend, and we laughed, relaxed, and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. It was the perfect thing to do after flying into Denver, and I would absolutely do it again. Oakwell Beer Spa is truly one of those unique experiences you have to try for yourself. Now my goal is to convince someone to open one near me in Florida!

Oakwell Beer Spa Downtown Denver FAQs

Where is Oakwell Beer Spa Downtown Denver, and when is it open?

At 3004 N Downing St, on the co
er of 30th Avenue in Five Points, next to RiNo. We’re open Monday to Friday from 12:15 pm to 11:30 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 11:30 pm. Call (720) 810-1484 or email [email protected] if you need a hand.

Where do I park, and can I get there without a car?

Park in the paved lot at 3057 N Marion St, one block away on the southwest co
er of 31st Avenue and Marion Street, or use the unmetered street parking on Downing Street and 30th Avenue. An accessible space sits directly behind the building. Without a car, RTD’s L Line ends at 30th & Downing Station, a one-minute walk from our door, and the A Line from the airport stops at 38th & Blake, less than a mile away.

How much does a visit cost?

Packages start at $199 per suite, and the price covers you and a guest, not each person. All four packages and their current prices are on the spa packages page. Drinks are poured by the ounce and priced at each tap, and a 20% gratuity is customary.

What’s included in a private spa suite?

Ninety minutes in a suite reserved for you and one guest: a hydrotherapy tub prepared as a beer bath or a wine bath, an infrared sauna, a rain shower, robes, slippers and towels. Check in 30 minutes early to pour a drink, and bring it into the suite with you (21+ for alcohol). Most guests spend two and a half to three hours with us, taproom included.

Is there real beer or wine in the bath?

No. The beer bath is water infused with hops, barley and seasonal herbs, and the wine bath, Rejuvenating Vino, is made with grape skin powder, rose petals, tulsi and oats. Neither is fermented, so there is no alcohol or yeast in the water. Choose either one with any package at no extra cost and tell the front desk when you check in.

What should I wear?

Bring a swimsuit if you like. Every suite has robes and slippers for the walk to the taproom or the restroom, and we recommend comfortable street clothes for the taproom and for the Zero Gravity Massage, which is fully clothed.

Do you offer massages?

Yes, in our own way: the Zero Gravity Massage is a 15 or 30-minute full-body session in a reclining massage chair, fully clothed and without a therapist. Add it to your suite booking or stop by for one on its own. The chairs and the taproom don’t need an appointment.

Do you serve food?

Light bites only: complimentary snacks in the taproom and charcuterie boards to order. We don’t serve full meals, so plan dinner before or after your visit. The restaurants on Larimer Street in RiNo are under a mile away. Outside food and drinks aren’t allowed.

Can we book a group, a bachelorette or a birthday Downtown?

Yes. The Garage Party joins two suites through a connecting door for three or four guests. For a bigger group, send us your date and headcount through the group packages page and we’ll plan it with you. Garage Parties need 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.

Do I need a reservation?

For a suite, yes. They book up quickly, so reserve online at any time; you’ll need a credit card to book, and we ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. The taproom and the Zero Gravity Massage chairs welcome walk-ins.
