Fan Expo Denver

When: July 3rd-6th, 2025, times vary

Where: Colorado Convention Center

Calling all fans of comics, anime, gaming, horror, and sci-fi. Fan Expo Denver is a four-day pop culture event with panels, cosplay contests, gaming lounges, and celebrity appearances, including Star Trek’s William Shatner. The event will be packed with photo ops, signings, exhibitors, and immersive experiences. 

Park Hill 4th of July Parade

When: Friday, July 4th, 2025 at 1:30 PM

Where: Park Hill Neighborhood

The Park Hill Parade is Denver’s largest Independence Day March and one of the best 4th of July activities. Enjoy over 50 groups, including marching bands, creative floats, classic cars, and characters in costume. The parade will pass through Park Hill, one of the oldest, most historic neighborhoods in the city. There is plenty of parking along side streets nearby.

Cherry Creek Arts Festival

When: July 4th-6th, 2025, times vary

Where: Cherry Creek North

One of our favorite things to do in Denver in July is attending the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. Connect with the community through art as the streets of Cherry Creek North are filled with works from nearly 300 artists, including paintings, photography, and jewelry. There will also be live music, children’s activities, food, and more.

Bastille Day French Fest 2025

When: July 11th-13th, 2025, times vary

Where: Fillmore Plaza

Bastille Day French Fest is Colorado’s largest French Festival. The weekend-long event celebrates culture, gastronomy, and art. You can also enjoy live entertainment, authentic French cuisine, artworks created by French and local artists, and artisan vendors.

Underground Music Showcase

When: July 25th - 27th, 2025 (times vary)
Where: Different locations in South Broadway

Enjoy live music in Denver in July at the Underground Music Showcase, the city’s longest-running and largest music festival. Denver’s South Broadway neighborhood will feature musicians performing across four stages and 12 venues, with over 200 national and local bands.

Weekend passes for the event start at $130.

Denver Botanic Gardens

If you’re looking for outdoor things to do in Denver this July, the Denver Botanic Gardens is ideal. This summer, you can appreciate colorful blooms, guided plant walks, and seasonal flower showcases.

First Friday Art Walk

Where: Santa Fe Arts District 

Every first Friday of the month, the Santa Fe Arts District comes to life. Experience dozens of open galleries, live mural painting, food trucks, and pop-up vendors. This is a fun way to visit some of Denver’s best art galleries and meet local artists.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Park

Where: Morrison, CO (about 20 minutes from Downtown Denver)

Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Park is one of the most unique places in Colorado, with an open-air theater and trails surrounded by stunning red rock formations.

• Take a day trip -  If you’re up for a road trip, Boulder is less than an hour away, and Colorado Springs is just over an hour. Each is a fun place to explore for the day, with fun outdoor activities and downtown areas.
• Get outside - There are many outdoor activities, including picnicking at Cheesman Park, playing pickleball, and taking a bike bar tour.
• Visit craft breweries - Denver is known for its incredible craft beer scene, and there are many breweries to visit. Some of our favorites are Cerveceria Colorado, Lady Justice Brewing Company, and Our Mutual Friend Brewing.
• Explore street art - Stroll around and see Denver’s colorful murals. RiNo and Santa Fe Arts District are some of the best areas to see street art.
