Whether you're on summer vacation in Denver or a local looking for fun celebrations, there's something for everyone below. You can celebrate Independence Day in Denver from July 3rd to July 6th, 2024.

Join the community and enjoy patriotic parades, sports games, fireworks shows, and more.

Indy Eve

When: July 3rd, 2024, 5 - 10 PM
Where: Civic Center Park

Start your 4th of July celebrations early at Indy Eve, an interactive, family-friendly event by the City and County of Denver.

At Indy Eve, you’ll enjoy:

  • Denver’s largest drone show ever
  • The Civic Center Night Market launch
  • Two different light shows
  • Music from emerging DJs
  • A live performance by the Colorado Symphony Brass & Percussion 
  • Food and shopping with local retailers

Pancake Breakfast & Parade

When: July 4th, 2024, 9 AM for breakfast and 10:30 AM for the parade
Where: Founders Green at 29th Avenue & Roslyn Street

Begin your 4th of July in Denver with a pancake breakfast and parade hosted by the Master Community Association (MCA), a local nonprofit community organization.

Enjoy a donation-based pancake breakfast on the stage at Founders Green. There will also be a balloon artist and face painting.

You can bring your decorated bike, tricycle, wagon, or scooter if you want to participate in the parade. Or you can hang out to watch the parade.

Washington Park July 4th Celebration

When: July 4th, 2024, 11 AM - 1 PM
Where: Washington Park Boathouse Pavilion

The annual July 4th Celebration at Washington Park is a popular Independence Day picnic and parade. 

Bring a picnic lunch and blanket or chairs to hang out and enjoy these free activities:

  • Children’s parade
  • Ice cream
  • A live band performing patriotic music
  • Station No. 21 Fire Truck Display
  • Face painting
  • Magician
  • Balloon artist

Park Hill 4th of July Parade

When: July 4th, 2024, 1:30 PM
Where: Park Hill neighborhood

Join Denver’s largest Independence Day March at the Park Hill Parade. It runs through the heart of Park Hill, one of Denver’s oldest neighborhoods, starting at Dexter St. and finishing at Krameria St.

The parade includes over 50 groups, with floats, marching bands, characters in costume, classic cars, and more.

4thFest: Colorado Rapids vs. Sporting Kansas City 

When: July 4th, 2024, the festival starts at 5 PM, and the game starts at 7:30 PM
Where: Dick's Sporting Goods Park, Commerce City

Celebrate July 4th just outside of Denver in Commerce City at the annual 4thFest, a free festival outside of Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, where the Colorado Rapids will be playing Sporting Kansas City.

The festival includes:

  • A bounce house
  • A DJ
  • Soccer darts
  • A rock-climbing wall
  • A quad trampoline
  • A mechanical bull
  • Pedal carts
  • A toddler zone
  • Food trucks

The largest public fireworks show in Colorado will start after the game finishes. You'll need to purchase tickets to go inside the stadium to watch the soccer game.

Blues Traveler

When: July 4th, 2024, doors open at 5 PM, and the show starts at 6 PM
Where: Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Morrison

If you want to enjoy a live music concert this July 4th, Blues Traveler is playing at Red Rocks Amphitheatre with special guests JJ Grey & Mofro and Eggy.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is about half an hour outside of Denver, and it's one of Colorado's most epic music venues. It's an open-air theater surrounded by magical red rocks.

Colorado Rockies vs. Milwaukee Brewers & Fireworks

When: July 4th, 2024, 6:10 PM
Where: Coors Field, Downtown Denver

Celebrate July 4th in Denver at a Colorado Rockies baseball game. They’re playing the Milwaukee Brewers at the iconic Coors Field. After the game, you can enjoy a fireworks show.

Coors Field is conveniently located in downtown Denver, so you can go out on the town afterward to continue your celebrations.

Elitch Gardens Fireworks Show

When: July 5th, 2024, 9 PM
Where: Elitch Gardens, Downtown Denver

If you can’t make it to see the fireworks on the 4th of July in Denver, or you want to continue the celebrations, Elitch Gardens has a fireworks show after the park closes on July 5th.

Spend the evening having fun at Elitch Gardens, a theme and water park, then stick around to watch the fireworks. You can also see the fireworks if you’re hanging out in Downtown Denver.

Four Mile Historic Park’s Independence Day Celebration

When: July 6th, 2024, 10 AM - 4 PM
Where: Four Mile Historic Park

Ticket cost: $10 for adults; discounts for seniors, military, and children

Enjoy 4th of July weekend in Denver at Four Mile Historic Park’s Independence Day Celebration. It’s a family-friendly event with fun activities for everyone all day. 

The following are included with your ticket:

  • Pig racing
  • Patriotic music by the Denver Concert Band
  • A DIY craft
  • History reenactments

You can bring a picnic lunch or get lunch from the Big Belly Brothers BBQ food truck. Drinks will also be available at the Four Mile Bar.

Denver Red White and Brew Bar Crawl

When: July 6th, 2024, 4 - 10 PM (check-in from 4 - 6 PM)
Where: The Passport bar, Downtown Denver

Ticket cost: starting at $7.50 (early bird, general admission, and late bird tickets available) and drinks aren’t included

Hit the town for the patriotic Denver Red White and Brew Bar Crawl. Celebrate with themed drinks from various bars throughout the city, with The Passport bar being your first stop.

Your ticket includes the following:

  • Entry into the bars
  • After party
  • Drink and food specials
  • Live music and DJs
