Not sure what to expect your first time at Oakwell? No problem. Check out this quick guide to understand how our unique beer spa works, from the check-in process to our amenities.
Most guests spend 2.5 to 3 hours at Oakwell Beer Spa. That gives you 30 minutes for check-in and a short tour, 90 minutes in a private spa suite, and the rest in the taproom.
Here’s what happens at each step, what to bring, and the house rules worth knowing before you book.
Arrive for your appointment about 30 minutes early so you can complete your intake forms, get set up on the beverage wall, and pour yourself a drink.
If you run late, your suite time may be shortened so the next guests can start on time, but the visit is still charged in full. If the team hasn’t heard from you within 10 minutes of your start time, the booking is canceled as a no-show and the full amount is charged to your card.
When it’s time for your appointment, your Beer Therapist will guide you to your spa suite, show you how everything works, and make sure you’re ready to relax. They'll also ask you to choose the herbal infusion for your bath.

The taproom is a relaxing space you can enjoy for your whole visit, from check-in to check-out. The self-serve experience offers locally brewed craft beer, wine, cider, kombucha, and non-alcoholic drinks. You can also enjoy light gourmet snacks and cozy seating. Guests 21 and up get an RFID card for the self-pour wall and pay by the ounce, with the price shown at each tap. You can also bring your drink with you into the sauna and bath.

You’ll begin your spa experience with about 20 minutes in the infrared sauna. This gives you time to warm up, sweat, and unwind. Infrared heat feels different from a traditional sauna because it warms the body directly rather than heating the air around you.
Use this time to relax and take a break, or cut your session short if needed, especially if it’s your first time using a sauna. Then cool off in the rain shower before stepping into the bath.

After every session, we drain, disinfect, and refill your tub with fresh water and herbal ingredients, so it feels like you’re the first person to ever use it.
The beer bath is a warm, bubbly soak in a hydrotherapy tub, kept close to body temperature and never above 100°F. The water is infused with hops, barley, and seasonal herbs, which make it feel silky rather than sticky and leave you happy and relaxed. There’s also a relaxation deck to rest outside of the water if you’d like.
If you choose the wine bath instead, you'll peacefully drift away in a soak containing grape skin powder, tulsi, rose petals, and flaked oats.

Your private spa suite includes a rain shower stocked with Oakwell Cosmetics skin and hair care, so you have everything you need to rinse off and emerge refreshed. Your bath starts draining 70 minutes after your appointment begins, leaving 20 minutes to shower, dress, and gather your things. From there, you can head to the Vanity Room to freshen up. This is especially convenient if you have other plans after your spa day.

The Relaxation Lounge is a tranquil, shared space that features the zero-gravity massage, a full-body, hands-off massage you enjoy fully clothed. You can add a 15- or 30-minute session when you book any spa package, and the 30-minute session also offers stretching to re-energize the body. Before the massage starts, the system scans your body to select the most appropriate settings for your body shape and size, then tilts you back into a neutral, zero-gravity position.

Every visit starts with a spa package, and you can add extras when you book.

Robes, slippers, towels, and shower products are provided, so you don’t need to bring much. Bring a swimsuit if you like. If you step out to the taproom or the restroom mid-session, dry off and slip on the robe and slippers, since wet floors get slippery. Wear comfortable street clothes for the taproom and the zero-gravity massage. Leave outside food, drinks, and cosmetics such as face masks, oils, and scrubs at home.
Walk-ins are welcome for the zero-gravity massage and in the taproom, where seating is first-come, first-served and spa guests get priority when it’s full.
Private spa suites require an appointment, and they book up quickly, so reserve ahead.
You can book online anytime with a credit card, which holds your spot without charging you. To cancel or reschedule, give at least 24 hours’ notice, or 48 hours for a Garage Party; later cancellations are charged in full. Payment is by card only, and gratuity is settled at checkout, where 20% is customary.
If you plan to come back every month, an Oakwell Beer Spa membership adds monthly credits that roll over, upgrade pricing, and member perks.
If you’re gifting a spa day, you can purchase a gift card. Then, your recipient can book their appointment, or you can do it for them.
You can still enjoy the full experience at Oakwell Beer Spa. The beer bath is infused with beer ingredients and herbs, and the taproom pours wine and cider, plus kombucha, water, and non-alcoholic drinks.
The beer bath has a mild hoppy, herbal aroma, so you won’t smell like beer. You can also shower after your beer bath and use the fresh-smelling Oakwell Cosmetics products in your suite.
Yes. A beer spa suits spa newbies and enthusiasts alike, including couples, friends, locals, and travelers. If classic spas have never been your thing, this is a beer spa for people who hate spas, with a private suite that’s yours alone and a drink in hand if you like.
Guests 14 and up are welcome, and anyone under 18 comes with a parent or guardian. Alcohol is for guests 21 and up with a valid ID, and if anyone in your group is under 21, alcohol stays out of the suite for the whole group.
Check with your doctor first. If your doctor says a soak is fine, a Beer Therapist can lower the heat of the sauna and the bath. If you have an allergy, tell the team when you book, since the herbal blend changes with the seasons.
The beer bath tubs don’t contain any beer. They’re infused with beer ingredients, kind of like a giant tea. The only actual beer is what you can enjoy from the taps in the taproom.
