How do self-serve beer taps work?

Locations with self-serve taps will walk you through the process when you arrive. Usually, you’ll receive an RFID (radio frequency identification) card that you can scan before pouring your beverage. This tracks the ounces you pour for each drink, and you’ll pay when you’re finished drinking.

Do I have to be 21 to enjoy self-serve beer in Denver?

Yes! Like with any location in the U.S. that serves alcohol, you’ll need to show your I.D. before enjoying beer or other alcoholic beverages. That said, some self-serve locations in Denver, like BoomBox Brew Bar and Oakwell Beer Spa, will let you enjoy their non-alcoholic drinks if you’re underage.
