Halloween in Denver: FAQs

Oakwell Beer Spa Full FAQ

Is Coloween worth it?

Yes, if you enjoy large, high-energy Halloween parties. Coloween is hosted at the National Western Complex’s Stockyards Event Center, a modern, spacious venue with professional production. Most attendees find both General Admission and VIP tickets to be good value.

What are the best Halloween events in Denver?

Denver’s favorites include haunted attractions like 13th Floor Haunted House, The Frightmare Compound, Haunted Field of Screams, and Terror in the Corn; family-friendly events such as Glow at the Gardens, Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns at Hudson Gardens, Denver Zoo’s seasonal festivities, and Elitch Gardens’ Fright Fest; and adult parties and bar crawls including Coloween and annual costume balls. Check each event’s official site for current schedules and tickets.

When do Denver Halloween events typically run, and how early should I buy tickets?

Most events start in late September and ramp up through October, with some extending into early November. Weekends and the final week of October sell out quickly—especially for timed-entry festivals and haunted houses—so buy tickets one to two weeks in advance or earlier for peak nights. Arrive early, review age and costume policies, and plan parking or transit ahead of time.
