Oakwell Beer Spa is best known as a place to sauna, sip, and soak away your worries. But relaxing tends to work up an appetite, doesn’t it? Oakwell isn’t a restaurant, but our guests can enjoy gourmet snacks, including charcuterie boards and artisan chocolate bonbons, along with beer and non-alcoholic drinks. 

But if you have dietary restrictions or food allergies, choosing a snack requires a little more planning. Learn about the snack and drink options Oakwell serves, common allergens to watch for, and accommodations we can provide.

What Food and Snacks Does Oakwell Beer Spa Offer?

Oakwell offers three charcuterie options, along with artisan chocolate bonbons. These are shareable snacks designed to complement your spa experience, not replace a full meal, so we do recommend eating a light meal before your reservation. Here’s what you can expect from Oakwell’s snack selection.

Gourmet Charcuterie Board

The gourmet charcuterie board combines two cured meats, two cheeses, and several sweet and savory accompaniments. It includes:

• Sopressata with pepper, garlic, and natural seasonings
• Black pepper salami
• Manchego-style sheep’s milk cheese
• Bellavitano cheese finished with balsamic vinegar
• Castelvetrano olives
• Whole-grain mustard
• Fresh red grapes
• Dried black figs
• Mini toasts and sesame wafer crackers

The board contains milk, wheat, sesame, and egg-derived lysozyme. Some ingredients are also made on shared equipment or in facilities that process peanuts, tree nuts, and soy.

Vegetarian Charcuterie Board

Not into meat? That’s okay. Our vegetarian gourmet board replaces the soppressata and salami with an additional cheese and dried mango, giving the meat-free board its own mix of flavors and textures.

It includes:

• Manchego-style sheep’s milk cheese
• Balsamic Bellavitano cheese
• Two-year-aged cheddar
• Castelvetrano olives
• Whole-grain mustard
• Fresh red grapes
• Dried mango slices
• Dried black figs
• Sesame wafer crackers

This board contains milk, wheat, sesame, and egg-derived lysozyme. The dried fruit may also contain traces of or come into contact with peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, milk, and sesame during processing.

Vegan Charcuterie Board

Vegan guests don’t have to settle for a few pieces of fruit and whatever’s left after the cheese is removed. We offer a dedicated vegan charcuterie board with plant-based cheese, fruit, nuts, olives, crackers, and savory accompaniments to make your visit special. 

The board includes:

• Plant-based white cheddar made with coconut oil
• Plant-based garlic-and-herb cheese made with almond milk and coconut oil
• Fig “salami” seasoned with smoked paprika and Aleppo pepper
• Castelvetrano olives
• Whole-grain mustard
• Fresh red grapes
• Dried mango slices
• Dried black figs
• Roasted and salted pistachios
• Club crackers

The vegan charcuterie board contains almonds, pistachios, wheat, and soy. Some of its ingredients are produced in facilities that also process peanuts, tree nuts, milk, wheat, soy, or sesame.

Artisan Chocolate Bonbons

Got a sweet tooth? Oakwell’s artisan chocolate bonbons are small, molded confections with a thin shell of tempered chocolate and a soft ganache center. They have a smooth finish and a satisfying snap that makes the creamy filling even more indulgent.

Our current flavors include:

• Passion Fruit Mango
• Vanilla
• Coffee
• Raspberry

The bonbons add a sweet finish to your visit and are included with some packages, too. The Couple’s Retreat includes artisan chocolate bonbons, while the Oakwell Escape includes both bonbons and a charcuterie board. 

Of course, you’re always welcome to order bonbons separately during your visit; just let our staff know and we’ll be happy to indulge your sweet tooth.

What Can You Drink at Oakwell Beer Spa?

Oakwell’s taproom has a little bit of everything. We’re best known for our beer, but we offer so much more than that. We have local craft beer, wine, cider, kombucha, and several alcohol-free alternatives. You can grab a familiar favorite, try something new, or enjoy the spa without drinking alcohol at all.

The selection rotates, so the exact lineup may differ from one visit to the next. Here’s what you can generally expect.

Craft Beer, Wine, and Cider

Oakwell’s rotating taps cover a range of beer styles, with options like:

• Crisp lagers
• Hoppy IPAs
• Tart and fruit-forward sours
• Smooth red ales
• Other seasonal and specialty releases

Oakwell focuses on Colorado craft beer and our self-pour wall lets you sample as little or as much as you’d like. 

Not in the mood for beer? Oakwell also carries a rotating selection of wine and cider. Past menus have featured options like syrah, sauvignon blanc, wine spritzes, and sour cherry cider. Our lineup combines approachable crowd-pleasers with a few less-common choices that give curious drinkers something new to try. 

Non-Alcoholic Drinks

You don’t need alcohol to enjoy the full Oakwell experience. The taproom carries several non-alcoholic drinks, including options that feel a little more special than your standard soda or bottled water.

Depending on our current selection, you may find:

• Non-alcoholic beer with 0.0% to 0.5% alcohol by volume (ABV)
• Kombucha in rotating flavors like ginger grapefruit
• CBD sparkling water
• Electrolyte-infused drinks
• Botanical spritzes
• Orange juice
• Seasonal alcohol-free beverages

The selection changes over time, but one thing that doesn’t change is Oakwell’s commitment to providing options for guests who don’t drink. If avoiding alcohol is important to you, check the label or ask the Oakwell team about the ABV of our current non-alcoholic offerings—just to make sure.

What If I’m Gluten-Free?

Oakwell offers a gluten-free beer bath for guests who prefer to avoid bathing in barley. This infusion uses millet in place of barley, so you can still enjoy the herbal beer-bath experience.

When it comes to food, our charcuterie boards contain wheat-based crackers, and other ingredients could encounter wheat during processing. Accommodations could be as simple as skipping the crackers on your charcuterie board, although we can’t guarantee an allergen-free or cross-contact-free environment.

If you need to avoid all gluten, contact Oakwell before your reservation. We’ll be happy to schedule you for a gluten-free bath and help you navigate food options based on your sensitivities. 

Which Oakwell Packages Include Food or Drinks?

Food and drinks are included with some Oakwell packages, while our other experiences focus just on spa treatments. But don’t worry if you get a little hungry: if your package doesn’t include a snack, you can purchase food separately during your visit.

Couple’s Retreat

The Couple’s Retreat includes artisan chocolate bonbons, giving you and your partner something sweet to enjoy alongside a romantic setup of candles and rose petals. A charcuterie board isn’t included, but you can purchase one separately if you’d like something more substantial.

Oakwell Escape

The Oakwell Escape includes our most complete food and beverage options. Along with your spa treatments, you’ll receive:

• A gourmet charcuterie board
• Artisan chocolate bonbons
• Two welcome drinks

The charcuterie board gives you savory and sweet bites to share, while the bonbons add a sweet finish to your soak. You can also choose an alcoholic or non-alcoholic option for your welcome drink, so you’re free to relax your way.

Adding Food or Drinks to Another Experience

You don’t have to book a food-inclusive package to snack at Oakwell. You can add a charcuterie board to your reservation while booking or as an add-on when you’re relaxing in your private spa suite. Additional beverages from the taproom are also available separately.
