Fun Facts About Lariat Lodge Brewing Company

Lariat Lodge Brewing Company opened in 2015, and there are two locations in Colorado. Before we dive into which of their beers you can enjoy at Oakwell Beer Spa this June, let’s look at a few fun brewery facts.

• The brewery is named after the historic Lariat Loop, a 40-mile scenic bypass that starts in Golden and runs through Evergreen, Lakewood, and Morrison, CO. Both brewpubs are on the loop and have a cozy lodge feel with mountain scenery, outdoor seating, and delicious food.
• The brewery uses local products for their food and beer whenever possible. They also have a special menu for every fun holiday, including Oktoberfest and St. Patrick's Day.
• Lariat Lodge Brewing Company brews styles of beers for everyone, from classic ales and lagers to tasty IPAs. All beers are brewed and canned onsite. Their can artwork is inspired by Colorado wildlife and hand drawn by a local artist using chalkboard markers. 
• Not only are both Lariat Lodge locations pet-friendly, but the owners' dogs, Barley and Lari, are the brewery mascots. Barley and Lari are the inspiration for the Barking Blonde Ale and the Lazy EyePA.
• Lariat Lodge Brewing Company proudly partners with Stepping Stone, a local program that employs individuals with special needs.

Lazo Mexican Lager

4.6% ABV

The Lazo Mexican Lager is a light, crisp lager perfect for cooling down this summer. It’s easy-drinking with slight corn notes and a hint of bitterness. This is the perfect beer to sip while enjoying a relaxing spa day.

Hiwan Hefeweizen

5.7% ABV

The Hiwan Hefeweizen is a German-style wheat beer with prominent notes of banana and clove, complemented by hints of lemon citrus. Its aroma is fruit with a hint of spiciness and a touch of wheat sweetness. It has a cloudy appearance because of its yeast but a smooth mouthfeel.

Umatilla Reef Session IPA

5.0% ABV

The Umatilla Reef Session IPA is similar to a West Coast IPA without the high ABV. At first sip, you’ll enjoy a hoppy flavor and aroma, followed by a fruity bitter finish for a crisp and clean finish. 

Hazy Boy IPA

7.0% ABV

The Hazy Boy IPA is a classic hazy with tropical flavors and a soft pillowy mouthfeel that enhances the juiciness. It’s refreshing and a fan-favorite summertime beer.

Angry Elk Amber Ale

5.8% ABV

The Angry Elk Amber Ale offers a harmonious blend of flavors. Its rich, caramelized malt backbone offers a touch of sweetness and a toasted biscuit-like flavor. Subtle hop notes with a moderate bitterness create a smooth and satisfying finish.

June’s Beer Bath Blend at Oakwell Beer Spa

Oakwell Beer Spa’s signature spa treatment is the Beer Bath Hydrotherapy. During your bath, you can relax in a cedar tub filled with warm, bubbly water. The bath also contains a gentle blend of beneficial beer ingredients, hops and barley, and herbs.

The nourishing bath blend has vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants that support relaxation and other wellness benefits. June’s beer bath blend uses Premium Two Row Munich Malt and Nugget, Sterling, and Bravo hops from Lariat Brewing Company’s Angry Elk Amber Ale.

The blend is also made with a touch of Blackberry Leaf, which is packed with Vitamin C. Blackberry Leaf helps support healthy skin, especially during the summer heat. It firms fine lines and wrinkles, nourishes the skin, and tightens pores.

Can I really drink beer during my spa treatments?

You can drink beer or any other beverage during your spa treatments at Oakwell Beer Spa. When you arrive for your spa day, we’ll give you an insulated stainless steel tumbler to keep your beer (or a few) cold while you enjoy it. 

The only place we ask guests not to take drinks is the Relaxation Lounge, where you can enjoy a Zero Gravity Massage.

What spa services does Oakwell Beer Spa offer?

Unlike your traditional day spa, Oakwell Beer Spa offers unique services. You can treat yourself to Beer Bath Hydrotherapy, Infrared Sauna, and a Zero Gravity Massage.

With the standard spa day package, you can access a private Beer Therapy™ Room for up to two people. For a larger group, you can choose the Garage Party Package or rent the entire space for a private party.

How does the self-serve beer wall work?

Oakwell isn't like other spas, and its self-serve beer wall is one of its most unique features. When you arrive for your appointment, we'll show you how to help yourself to the drink(s) of your choice. 

Simply follow these steps to use the self-serve beer wall:

1. Scan the card we’ll give you when you arrive to unlock the taps.
2. Check out the rotating selection of Lariat Lodge Brewing Company beers. You’ll also see tasting notes and the price per ounce for each drink.
3. Select your drink, scan your card, and pour the amount you’d like.
4. When you finish your spa day, take your card to the reception desk to pay for the ounces you poured.

Can I just stop by for a beer without a spa treatment?

We welcome guests to Oakwell Beer Spa whether or not you’ve booked a spa treatment. Our cozy taproom oasis is the perfect space to kick back, unwind, and enjoy a few drinks. 

Does Oakwell Beer Spa have anything else to drink besides beer?

We know beer isn’t everyone’s thing, or sometimes you’re in the mood for something else. That’s why we also have water, cider, wine, tea, and kombucha.

Can I hang out in the taproom before and after my treatments?

You’re welcome to spend as much time in the taproom as you’d like before or after your spa treatment. The cozy space is perfect for relaxing, and we’d love for you to enjoy it.
