If you’re looking for something to do this February in Denver, Oakwell Beer Spa is the perfect place for a relaxing and unique experience. Oakwell is an award-winning day spa in Denver with beer-inspired spa services and a craft beer taproom.
In this article, we’ll discuss the Oakwell Beer Spa experience and which local beer you can enjoy this February. If you’re interested in something other than beer, we also serve wine, kombucha, cider, and tea.
We usually partner with a Colorado brewery every month and share five of their best beers on tap. This February, we're celebrating Oakwell Beer Spa's three-year anniversary, so we're changing things up.
Oakwell Beer Spa thanks our guests and staff for contributing to our success over the past three years. Not only have we earned various awards, including TIME’s World’s Greatest Places and Thrillist’s Greatest Things to Do in Denver, but we’ve also been able to provide thousands of Denver locals and visitors with a memorable spa day experience.
To celebrate three years and our amazing staff, we’re featuring six veteran employees’ favorite beers on tap this February.
Whether you like an easy-drinking Pilsner, fruity beers, or a classic Amber, there’s something for everyone this February at Oakwell Beer Spa.
Pilsner, 5.2% ABV
The 1265 Pilsner is Oakwell Beer Spa’s Spakeeper Nicholas Goss’s favorite beer. Its light, bready malts are reminiscent of a freshly baked baguette. It has light notes of hop citrus with a subtle spicy flavor. You can pair the 1265 Pilsner with a relaxing spa day for an extra bit of fun!
Raspberry Kolsch, 4.8% ABV
The Princess Yum Yum is Oakwell Beer Spa's Assistant General Manager Tracey Steinhilber's favorite beer. Significant additions of delicious raspberries make for a slightly tart and very refreshing beer. With a fun ruby red color and easily drinkable taste, it's no wonder this is Denver Beer Company's most popular brew!
Carrot Elderflower Saison, 5.8% ABV
The King of Carrot Flowers is Oakwell Beer Spa’s Assistant General Manager Devon Roberts’ favorite beer. This carrot juice and elderflower Saison defies conventional brewing and is crafted with culinary balance in mind. The King of Carrot Flowers is a must-try if you enjoy unique, delicious brews.
West Coast IPA, 7.0% ABV
The Crank Yanker is Oakwell Beer Spa’s Beer Therapist Tyla Scoggins’ favorite beer. It’s also an Eddyline favorite, with a maltiness balanced with a tropical fruit aroma and a smooth hop finish. It’s easy to drink one or a few of these while relaxing at the spa.
French Amber Ale, 5.5% ABV
The Anton Francois is Oakwell Beer Spa’s Brewery Relations Coordinator Matt Sammon’s favorite beer. It’s Diebolt Brewing’s flagship beer and a homage to their French heritage. The Anton Francois is smooth and malty, with the perfect amount of dryness. This classic Amber is a beer lover's go-to.
Gose Sour, 5.2% ABV
The Spa Sidekick is Oakwell Beer Spa’s Herbalism Coordinator Margery Beery’s favorite beer. It’s a delicious Gose-style sour brewed with freshly juiced cucumber, lemon zest, coriander, and Utah rock salt. The best part? This is an Oakwell Beer Spa exclusive, making your experience even more unique.
Oakwell Beer Spa’s signature spa service is the Beer Bath Hydrotherapy – a tub filled with warm water and a rejuvenating beer bath blend. This February, the beer bath blend is made with our team’s favorite herb of the month, Hawthorn Leaf and Flower.
As you relax in a cedar hydrotherapy tub with thousands of tiny calming bubbles, you'll benefit from the herbal beer bath blend. Hawthorn Leaf and Flower comes from Spice Trade Brewing's Pilsner Wheat Malt and Magnum Hops. It alleviates body inflammation and redness while helping cleanse and heal for healthy skin that looks and feels great!
As you soak in your warm beer bath infused with a nourishing bath blend, you’ll also experience a sense of relaxation, better blood flow, and pain relief if needed.
