Oakwell Beer Spa partners with a local Colorado brewery every month and shares five of its best beers with our guests. We’re so excited to be partnering with Avery for a second time. Their beers are delicious and perfect to enjoy alongside a relaxing spa day.

In this article, we’ll share what you can expect from Oakwell Beer Spa, how the experience works, and which Avery Brewing Company beers you can try during your spa day at Oakwell.

Fun Facts About Avery Brewing Company

Before we dive into which beers you can enjoy at Oakwell Beer Spa this January, let’s look at a few fun facts about Avery Brewing Company.

  • The brewery started when Founder Adam Avery was experiencing a “quarter-life crisis.” As a law school student and home brewer, he knew his passion was beer. With the help of Adam’s father, Larry, Avery Brewing Company opened in 1993 and has been making awesome beer ever since.
  • The brewery started in a small garage in Boulder. When they outgrew that space, they opened another. They eventually outgrew two more spaces and finally opened their current brewing facility and restaurant in 2015.
  • The brewery now has ample space for innovation with better quality control and the ability to lower its carbon and water footprint.
  • The Avery Taproom and Restaurant has more than 30 taps of year-round beers and rotating seasonal taps. The food menu is locally sourced and changes to reflect seasonal fare. There’s ample indoor seating, and the patio is also the perfect space for fresh air and pets.
  • Avery Brewing Company has many award-winning beers, including the White Rascal, which has won three Great American Beer Festival medals and one World Beer Cup. The White Rascal is also their best-seller nationwide, with Avery IPA being a close second.
  • The Avery IPA is also head brewer Chris Cote’s favorite beer. He loves the piney, resinous notes and says, “It’s a classic style done very well and has a lot of history with Avery. It was the first bottled IPA in Colorado and is an earmark of our consistent quality.” Make sure you try this one at Oakwell Beer Spa this January!
