The 2024 Five Points Jazz Festival is one of Denver’s most fun activities, and it’s coming on Saturday, June 8th.

In this guide, we’ll share what the festival is, this year’s schedule, and other helpful information. We’ll also discuss our favorite way to relax before or after the festival–a unique spa day at Oakwell Beer Spa.

What is the Five Points Jazz Festival in Denver?

The Denver Five Points Jazz Festival is a free event held every year in the historic Five Points neighborhood. Five Points was once known as the Harlem of the West, where several jazz clubs were located, and this festival honors that legacy.

The festival started 20 years ago with one performer stage and a few locals and visitors. It’s now a large event with four stages and tens of thousands of attendees.

The Denver Jazz Festival is a family-friendly event that welcomes everyone. Spend the day enjoying jazz performances, culturally diverse food, and shopping along Welton Street.

Five Points Jazz Festival Schedule

Parking and Road Closures for the Five Points Jazz Festival

There will be several road closures during the festival, also eliminating a lot of street parking. We recommend using public transportation or a rideshare service to get to the festival.

It’s important to note that the L Line train won’t be running during the Jazz Festival. However, Bus Route 43 is a good alternative as you can get off at 31st and Downing to be close to the festival.

Lyft and Uber are also available as rideshare services. While the fees will likely be higher during the festival, this is a convenient way to get picked up and dropped off at the event.

Welton Street between Park Avenue West and 30th Street will be closed off to cars from Friday, June 7th, at 10 AM through Sunday, June 9th, at noon. Businesses along Welton Street will be open but will only be accessible to pedestrians.
