This year, Mardi Gras is on February 13th. Whether you want to celebrate on Fat Tuesday, the weekend before, or both, Denver has several fun celebrations to choose from! From a hotel takeover party and bar crawls to a laid-back sip and paint class and a pancake dinner, there’s something for everyone.

Date: Saturday, February 10th
Time: 7 PM to midnight
Location: DoubleTree by Hilton, Greenwood Village
Cost: Tickets start at $49
Mardi Gras is taking over the DoubleTree Hotel with an extravagant festival in Denver. Enjoy live bands and DJs playing a mix of music, including Zydeco and hip-hop. There will also be burlesque shows, models tossing thousands of beads, tarot readers, and face painters. Selfie stations will be the perfect place to capture the fun.
Denver Mardi Gras 2024 VIP guests get access to private balconies, exclusive bottle specials, and table reservations.

Location: Starts at The Passport (bar), Lower Downtown
Cost: Free to join the crawl; drink prices vary
Dress for festivities, whether it’s a fun mask or colorful costume, and immerse yourself in the carnival spirit for one of Denver’s most entertaining Mardi Gras events. The Mardi Gras Bar Crawl will take you through the city to some of the best bars and venues.
During the crawl, you’ll follow a digital map to various places with live DJs, delicious drink specials, and waived cover charges.

Location: BurnDown (restaurant and bar), South Broadway
Cost: Free to attend; drink and food prices vary
BurnDown offers one of the best atmospheres in Denver, with gastropub mixed with neighborhood bar vibes. Celebrate Fat Saturday at BurnDown’s Mardi Gras Party with New Orleans-style food and drink specials, beads, and King Cakes.
Two live bands are performing at BurnDown. The first, Grown A$$ Man Band, a Denver-based band that plays an eclectic mix of upbeat blues, New Orleans-style funk, and rock-influenced originals, plays at 6 PM. Crescent City Connection, a funk group from Fort Collins, plays at 9:30 PM.

Location: Harry’s Restaurant at Magnolia Hotel, Downtown Denver

Spend Mardis Gras in Denver at Magnolia Hotel’s trendy lobby lounge. Enjoy New Orleans-style music by talented musicians, two specially-themed cocktails, a Creole sharable dish, and a delicious slice of king cake – a perfect Mardi Gras celebration combination!
The event is in the afternoon, so you can extend your evening and attend another Fat Saturday event afterward or head to Oakwell Beer Spa (a short drive away) for a relaxing evening at the spa.

SAME Cafe is a donation-based nonprofit restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere, and their Fat Tuesday lunch special is well worth checking out! Enjoy a traditional New Orleans lunch with Veggie Red Beans and Rice, Gumbo, Mardi Gras Salad, Étouffée Pizza, and Beignets.

Celebrate Denver Mardi Gras with a pancake dinner at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. You can also spend the evening learning about how cultures around the world prepare for Lent with various Shrove Tuesday foods and traditions. Enjoy games, a pancake race, and socialization.

Get creative and join a Mardi Gras Sip & Paint class, where you can paint a concrete Mardi Gras mask to decorate your home, porch, or garden. The class includes all painting supplies, food, drinks, and a King Cake. You may also bring your drink of choice.
This is the ideal solo activity or one to bring friends or a date to!

Celebrate Mardi Gras in Denver at Dazzle, a popular jazz club at Denver’s Art Complex. Although tickets are free, there is a two drink or food item minimum, which is easy with Dazzle's delicious food and cocktail menu with many eclectic items.
Mardi Gras with No Hands Brass Band is the perfect Mardi Gras girls’, guys’, or date night out. Dazzle also welcomes children, making if a great family-friendly Mardi Gras activity.

Location: Orchid Denver (event venue), Downtown Denver
Cost: Tickets are $10 (+ optional $20 cajun dinner)
Denver Mardi Gras festivities continue at Orchid Denver, a social cocktail and lounge. Boukou Groove is a New Orleans funk, soul, and jam band bringing a classic Mardi Gras experience to Denver.
Orchid Denver has an expansive food and drink menu, with small plates, salads, flatbreads, cocktails, mocktails, wine, and more. You can also enjoy a special cajun dinner for this Mardi Gras event.
