Fun Facts About Jagged Mountain

Before we dive into the delicious beers from Jagged Mountain you can enjoy at Oakwell Beer Spa this April, let’s check out some fun brewery facts!

  • Jagged Mountain Brewery opened in Downtown Denver’s historic Ballpark neighborhood in November 2013.
  • The brewery was born from ideas on a backpacking trip. The adventure carries on with “Adventurous Beer for Adventurous People.”
  • Jagged Mountain is known for its well-rounded, flavorful beers. They brew everything from German lagers and experimental sours to delicious IPAs.
  • All Jagged Mountain Brewery beers are 100% women brewed by the Head Brewer, Alyssa Hoberer.
  • One of their most notable beers on tap is the Baja Blast Sour Ale, made with lime, cantaloupe, and non-alcoholic blue curaçao, which you can try this April at Oakwell.
  • Jagged Mountain loves to have fun. Every year, they host a staff “beer wars,” a friendly competition in which they pick one base beer style and let staff design and create their own concoctions. All of the new beers are tapped at the same time, and the first to run out wins a spot on the Golden Crowler Tower.
  • They also enjoy collaborating with the craft beer community. At this year’s Collaboration Fest, Jagged Mountain brewed an 8-way brewery collab, bringing together some of the best flavors for a delicious beer.

Can I really drink beer during my spa treatments?

Of course! We welcome guests to enjoy beer or other drink of choice alongside their spa treatments.

You can enjoy your drinks in the taproom or in the Beer Therapy™ Room, where the spa day takes place. The only place we ask you not to take beer is the Relaxation Lounge, where you can experience a Zero Gravity Massage.

What spa services does Oakwell offer?

Oakwell Beer Spa’s services are unlike any other. Relax differently with the Infrared Sauna, Beer Bath Hydrotherapy, and Zero Gravity Massage.

Our standard spa packages are for two people, but you can also book a party package for a larger group.

How does the self-serve beer wall work?

The self-serve beer wall is one of our most unique features. When you arrive at Oakwell, a receptionist will show you how to use the beer wall, following these simple steps:

  1. Use the scan card you’ll receive upon arrival to unlock the taps.
  2. Check out the taps with Jagged Mountain Brewery beers. You’ll also see other drinks, including wine, cider, tea, and kombucha. Each drink will show tasting notes and price per ounce.
  3. Choose your drink, scan your card, and pour as much or as little as you’d like.
  4. When you’re ready to check out, take your card to the front desk to pay for the ounces you poured throughout your spa day.

Can I just stop by for a beer without a spa treatment?

Anyone can stop by for a beer, with or without a spa treatment. The taproom is open for guests to come, enjoy a drink or a few, and relax. We also have cozy furniture and fun conversation cards in the taproom.

Does Oakwell Beer Spa have anything else to drink besides beer?

We understand beer isn’t for everyone, or sometimes you’re in the mood for something else. Aside from beer, we also have water, cider, wine, tea, and kombucha.

Can I hang out in the taproom before and after my treatments?

Absolutely! We love for guests to spend as much time as they want in the taproom. Feel free to come early to relax or stay longer for another drink or two.
