Fun Facts About New Image Brewing

New Image Brewing is in Arvada, Colorado, just outside of Denver. Before we dive into which of their beers you can enjoy at Oakwell Beer Spa this month, let’s check out some fun brewery facts.

When New Image Brewing’s founder, Brandon Capps, set out to build community through craft beer, he decided to open New Image’s original location in Olde Town Arvada in 2014. Then, the Wheat Ridge location opened in 2022.
Today, the brewery has a team of fun and hardworking beer enthusiasts, from production and sales to management and taproom staff.
Both brewery locations have indoor and outdoor seating and delicious food and beer. They’re pet-friendly too.
New Image is continuously refining its process, trying experimental products, and brewing something new. This is easy with a team who loves coming to work excited to create art (aka good beer!). Quirky creativity is a significant part of day-to-day life at the brewery.
Every New Year's Eve at New Image, the team does an “East Coast Toast” at 10 PM with their East Coast Transplant, a double New England Hazy IPA. This toast is a nod to their East Coast background and gets the “old neighborhood folks” to bed on time!
The East Coast Transplant was actually one of the first Hazy IPAs released in Colorado.

July Brews at Oakwell Beer Spa

Whether you like hoppy brews, tasty sours, or flavorful IPAs, there’s something for everyone at Oakwell Beer Spa this July.

West Coast Pils

Pilsner, 5.5% ABV Pair your spa day with this delicious and super hoppy West Coast Pilsner. It’s clean and crisp and has a light earthiness, making for the perfect easy-drinking summer beer.

Moped

Wheat Beer, 5.0% ABV If you like trying fun beers, this one’s it! The Moped is a blood orange witbier that offers a unique citrus twist making it incredibly fun to drink while you relax at the spa.

Mango Guava Dyad

Sour Ale, 7.5% ABV If you like sours, the Mango Guava is a must-try. It’s a Kombucha blend, combining flavors of mango and guava. Talk about a refreshingly delicious summer drink!

Coriolis Effect

New Zealand IPA, 6.5% ABV With the Coriolis Effect, New Image paired New Zealand’s Motueka hop with Citra to combine melon, tropical, and stone fruits. The addition of a Columbus dry hop brings these full flavors to the surface. The Coriolis Effect offers an ideal sweet first sip and dry finish.

Paul

New England Pale Ale, 5% ABV Paul is a New England-style Pale Ale that’s dry-hopped and hazy. It offers a big aroma and flavor. This one’s a fan favorite because of its low ABV but powerful taste, making it easy to enjoy a couple.

July’s Beer Bath Blend at Oakwell Beer Spa

Oakwell Beer Spa’s signature treatment, Beer Bath Hydrotherapy, is a rejuvenating bubbly beer bath. You can relax in a cedar hydrotherapy tub with thousands of calming bubbles and a crafted blend of beneficial herbs, hops, and barley. The refreshing beer bath blend has vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants that offer various wellness benefits. July’s beer bath uses Ekuanot Hops with Proximity and Crystal Malt from New Image Brewing’s Moped Witbier. The blend also contains our herb of the month, Eucalyptus. While you soak in the bath, you can enjoy an invigorating aroma of the hops and malt infused with Eucalyptus. Not only can Eucalyptus help clear your nasal passages and calm your senses to help you unwind, but it also keeps your skin hydrated, feeling soft, and looking radiant.

Can I really drink beer during my spa treatments?

Absolutely! We think spa days are even better with a refreshing beverage. When you arrive for your spa treatment, we’ll give you a double-wall insulated stainless steel tumbler to use in the taproom and your private Beer Therapy Room. Your tumbler will even keep your beer chilled during your hydrotherapy bath and sauna. In your Beer Therapy Room, you’ll have slippers and robes to refill as needed. You can also use the ring bell system, and we’ll refill your drink for you. The only place we ask guests not to take their beer is The Relaxation Lounge, where you can enjoy a Zero Gravity Massage Experience.

What spa services do you offer anyways?

We aren’t your traditional day spa with manicures and facials. Instead, our spa services include Beer Bath Hydrotherapy, an Infrared Sauna, and Zero Gravity Massage for a unique wellness experience. Explore spa services and packages.

How does the self-serve beer wall work?

The self-serve beer wall is one of our most fun features. Best of all, it’s easy to use by following these simple steps:

Upon arrival at Oakwell Beer Spa, you’ll receive a card you can scan to unlock your taps on the beverage wall.
Check out the rotating selection of New Image Brewing beers on tap. You’ll also find other beverages, including wine and cider. The beer wall also shows each drink's tasting notes and price per ounce.
Choose your beverage, scan your card, and pour as little or much as you’d like.
When you’re ready to check out, bring your card to the reception desk to pay for the ounces you poured.

Can I just stop by for a beer without a spa treatment?

Of course! We welcome all guests to come with or without a spa appointment. Our cozy taproom is ideal for kicking back, relaxing, and enjoying a drink.

Does Oakwell Beer Spa have anything else to drink besides beer?

Yes, we know beer isn’t everyone’s thing. Or sometimes you prefer something else. We also have cider, wine, tea, and kombucha.

Can I hang out in the taproom before and after my treatments?

Please do. Our taproom is open for you to enjoy for as long as you want. Feel free to enjoy a drink before and/or after your spa day.
