Celebrate Halloween at Elitch Gardens Fright Fest with spooky rides, activities, and events. There’s a festive KiddieLand during the day, frightful happenings at night, and a haunted house. Costumes are welcome—just leave the face masks at home!

Cocktails & Screams

The food hall at Milepost Zero has a Halloween bar set up for Cocktails & Screams this October, where you can also enjoy various events, food, and drinks.

13th Floor Haunted House

Kid-friendly: Age 13 and up

Get spooked at 13th Floor Haunted House this Halloween season! It’s even been voted one of the top five most terrifying haunted houses in the country by USA Today. There are two haunted houses to choose from: Nautical Nightmare and Crimson Night. There are also add-ons for extra fun, including an escape room and axe throwing.

Boo at the Zoo

When: October 4th, 5th, 11th-13th, 18th-20th, 25th-27th, & 31st – 5 to 9 PM
Location: Denver Zoo

Cost: Starts at $18.90 (children two and under are free)

Boo at the Zoo is a fun, family-friendly event that takes place throughout the month of October, including Halloween night. Get festive with trick-or-treating, candy stations, seasonal snacks, and Halloween-themed photo ops.

On October 31st, Boo at the Zoo is offering a sensory-friendly Halloween celebration.

Frankenstein

Cost: Tickets start at $25
Kid-friendly: Age 12 and older is recommended

Celebrate Halloween in Denver with an interactive, live performance of Frankenstein with Audacious Immersive. 

There are various showings throughout October at different locations:

Glow at the Gardens

When: October 22nd - 27th – 6 to 9 PM
Location: Denver Botanic Gardens

Experience the Denver Botanic Gardens Halloween-style at their Glow at the Gardens event.

Spend the evening exploring the gardens with an immersive, illuminated path surrounded by pumpkin displays, diverse landscapes, and live performers.

Halloween Cocktail Class

When: October 23rd – 6:30 to 8 PM
Location: Deviation Distilling

Learn how to make eerie and delicious cocktails at Deviation Distilling’s Halloween Cocktail Class. Expert bartenders will guide you through crafting three delicious, festive drinks – from shaking to pouring and garnishing. Costumes are encouraged, too!

Monster Masquerade Adult Night

When: October 24th – 5 to 9 PM
Location: Denver Zoo

Cost: $30

Adults can play dress up and celebrate Halloween in Denver with the zoo animals at the Monster Masquerade. As the most popular Adult Night of the year at Denver Zoo, you can enjoy a complimentary drink, additional beverages and snacks, festive photo ops, a live DJ, and a costume contest. 

Halloween Bar Crawl

When: October 26th – 4 PM to midnight
Location: Downtown Denver

Cost: Tickets start at $12.78

Kid-friendly: No

Dress up with your friends for the 7th annual Halloween Bar Crawl through Downtown Denver. You’ll stop at some of the most fun bars in Denver, including Sidecar Lounge and Refinery. Tickets include free entry into bars, two to three drinks or shots, drink and food specials, and an after-party. There’s also a costume contest with a $1,000 award!

Ghost & Goblins 5K/10K

When: October 27th at 9 AM

Location: Denver City Park

Cost: Registration starts at $30

Kid-friendly: Yes

Get active this Halloween in Denver at the Ghosts & Goblins 5K/10K. Walk or run through City Park along paved lakeside trails and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. After the race, there’s a vendor’s village, food, and drinks. Registration includes food at the finish line, a race logo shirt, and a finisher’s medal.

Halloween Spooktacular!

When: October 27th at 2:30 PM
Location: Boettcher Concert Hall

Cost: Tickets start at $10

Get dressed up to enjoy Halloween Spooktacular, a family-friendly concert at the Performing Arts Complex of Denver. Get festive while enjoying live music from TV shows and movies performed by the Colorado Symphony that kids and adults can both appreciate!

Coleween

When: October 26th – 8 PM to 2 AM
Where: Stockyards Event Center

Cost: Tickets start at $59.95

Coleween is one of the largest and best Halloween parties in Denver! This year’s theme is Welcome to the Jungle, so get dressed up in a jungle-inspired costume and get ready for jungle-inspired entertainment. There will also be live DJs and a $10,000 costume contest.

Halloween Drag Bingo

When: October 30th – 7 to 10 PM
Where: FIRE Restaurant & Lounge

Cost: $28.52

Support the LGBTQIA+ community this Halloween in Denver, as a portion of ticket sales for Drag Bingo will go to One Colorado. Play bingo while enjoying drag performances, music, delicious drinks, and a costume contest. Tickets also include a welcome cocktail.
